Private Sector ESG Forum 2025,
Attendee — the Environment Society and Governance Forum 2025 summit.
Following my NYSC camp activities, I participated in the Private Sector ESG Forum in Lagos State, a platform that convened private-sector leaders to discuss sustainability, environmental responsibility, and governance practices across industries. An experience that further deepened my interest in environmental sustainability and energy systems.
Engaging with industry leaders and practitioners committed to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles strengthened my resolve to pursue solutions that balance economic growth with environmental responsibility and social equity. The forum highlighted the interconnectedness of sustainability challenges across sectors, with representation from the food industry (TGI Group), the financial sector (Stanbic IBTC), and the energy sector (Shell Nigeria).
This exposure reinforced my belief that achieving a sustainable future requires cross-sector collaboration and evidence-based decision-making. It also affirmed my commitment to contributing to systems that advance inclusive development—for people and for the planet—in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDGs 8, 12, 13, and 17.
