Ibule Clean-up (CTDF)
Contribution to SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation
I volunteered with the Connecting the Dots Foundation (formerly Teens With A Difference) to participate in the Ibule Community Clean-up in Ondo State, located in Nigeria’s South-Western region.
This project was deeply personal, reflecting my commitment to environmental sustainability and grassroots community initiatives. Motivated by a desire to contribute to climate action and greenhouse gas emission reduction, I supported efforts to improve sanitation and environmental hygiene in the community.
Community leaders recognized the initiative, commending undergraduate volunteers for identifying local environmental needs and taking actionable steps toward a cleaner, healthier Ibule. Although this initiative was primarily geared towards participating in the UN-SDG 6(Clean water and Sanitation), the experience reinforced my commitment to climate-conscious community engagement and solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
